Machete Order & More

Machete Order & More

The last time I did Machete Order was before The Force Awakens so all this week and next I’m doing it again (with Rogue One between III and VI), in preparation for next Thursday night.

Once again, my wife and I are watching the newest Star Wars film with the gang from our local comic book store the day before the official release. No need to wait until midnight. Woo hoo!

May the Force be with you!

The Last Jedi and the Final Dodgers Game

The Last Jedi and the Final Dodgers Game

It’s been two days since the Dodgers lost Game 7 of the World Series. As a lifelong fan, it was a tough game to watch, especially after such a thrilling, back-and-forth series.

Still, as the saying goes, there’s always next year. Plus, there was a new teaser for The Last Jedi! Even amongst the misery of my favorite baseball team stranding runner after runner there was the silver lining of a few new scenes of Episode VIII.

Shut up and take my money.

In case you’re wondering: yes, I’ll be repeating this sentence every time Disney releases a Star Wars trailer, especially when they’re as good as this:

May The 4th Be With You!

During last year’s Star Wars Day I live-tweeted while watching the original Star Wars. I won’t be doing that this year; instead, I’m bringing my copy of Carcassonne: Star Wars to my gaming group’s weekly get-together. We’ll see whose side the Force is on as we battle to rule a galaxy far, far away.

I hope you have some fun stuff planned for your May 4th celebration. And don’t forget to check out this hilarious Star Wars Day video before, during, or after today’s festivities.

May the Force be with you!

Blue Milk

Last weekend one of my gaming buddies hosted a Star Wars party. It was a lot of fun hanging out with fellow Star Wars geeks as we watched The Force Awakens Blu-ray (and the extras), talked about various fan theories regarding the next film, and celebrated our shared love of the franchise.

Of course, no Star Wars party is complete without Luke’s beverage of choice (full disclosure: I’m not much of a milk drinker anymore, so I didn’t partake).
